Cricket: "IPL 2011 Match No 46: Deccan Chargers v Delhi Daredevils"



Hello and Welcome to the Match No 46 of the IPL 2011 season between Deccan Chargers and Delhi Daredevils. Deccan Chargers and Delhi Daredevils are battling it out for the bottom place throughout the IPL 2011 season, todays win should charge one of the team to go for the playoffs. Lets see who will take the advantage in todays encounter.

Delhi Daredevils won the toss and opted to bowl first. For Hyderabad Deccan Chargers S Dhawan and DB Ravi Teja opened the batting, for Delhi Daredevils M Morkel opened the bowling. Hyderabad Deccan Chargers lost DB Ravi Teja early for 2 when AM Salvi took his wicket. KC Sangakkara and S Dhawan then played some nice shots to take deccan to 58 in less than 9 overs when S Dhawan was out to AB Agarkar. KC Sangakkara and JP Duminy then played some aggresive cricket and blasted Delhi Daredevil bowlers to all parts of the ground. KC Sangakkara eventullay fell for a well made 44, JP Duminy continued his big hitting and with DT Christian giving him good support hit 4 montrous sixes. JP Duminy fell to a accurate throw from AB Agarkar and was run out but made sure Hyderabad Deccan Chargers where on track. DT Christian made sure Hyderabad Deccan Chargers score above par then expected. Hyderabad Deccan Chargers scored 175 for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. For Deccan Chargers JP Duminy scored 55 and KC Sangakkara scored 44, for Delhi Daredevils AB Agarkar took 2 wickets.

In reply Delhi Daredevils opened the batting with AJ Finch and V Sehwag, for Hyderabad Deccan Chargers DW Steyn opened the bowling. Delhi Daredevils lost AJ Finch in the very first over to DW Steyn. I Sharma quickly removed NV Ojha and Y Venugopal Rao to give the edge to Hyderabad Deccan Chargers. V Sehwag had other plans, after initial overs from DW Steyn and I Sharma, I Malhotra came to bowl. V Sehwag blasted 23 runs of that over. A Mishra bowled the next over and was also murdered for another 18 odd runs and the runs flowed like river and in no time V Sehwag scored his first T20 century in 48 balls. KC Sangakkara re-introduced DW Steyn in 17 over. Soon DW Styen stuck and got V Sehwag's wicket but it was too late since V Sehwag had already done the damage. Delhi Daredevils managed to score off the reamaining runs with 4 wickets in hand and one over to spare. For Delhi Daredevils V Sehwag scored a ming blowing 119 of 56 balls, for Hyderabad Deccan Chargers DW Steyn and I Sharma took 2 wickets each.

Hi and Welcome to the Match No 45 of the IPL 2011 season between Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Kolkata Knight riders. Kolkata Kngiht Riders have been exceptional this IPL 2011 seasona and with each passing game have been the favourites along side Mumbai Indians. Kochi Tuskers Kerala are having a nice and decent debut compared to Pune warriors and todays win will open the IPL 2011 season wide open. Lets see if Kochi Tuskers kerala can challenge the mighty Kolkata Knight riders.

Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and choosed to bowl first. For Kochi Tuskers Kerala BB McCullum and M Klinger opened the batting, for Kolkata Knight Riders B Lee opened the bowling. Kochi Tuskers Kerala lost BB McCullum early for 1 to JD Unadkat. M Klinger and PA Patel then shared a little partnership with PA Patel dominating it. After the fall of PA Patel to JD Unadkat again, M Klinger and DPMD Jayawardene score a 51 run partnership in less than 7 overs. Soon Kochi Tuskers Kerala lost M Klinger and RA Jadeja and were loosing their way out, but DPMD Jayawardene and Bj Hodge then played some nice shots to take Kochi Tuskers Kerala out to safety and last over surge by BJ Hodge ment Kochi Tuskers Kerala scored more than what they asked for. Kochi Tuskers Kerala scored 156 for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. For Kochi Tuskers Kerala DPMD Jayawardene scored 55 and BJ Hodge scored 35*, for Kolkata Knight Riders JD Unadkat took 2 wickets.

In reply Kolkata Knight Riders opened the batting with JH Kallis and EJG Morgan, for Kochi Tuskers Kerala RP Singh opened the bowling. Kolkata Knight Riders had a fantastic start when JH Kallis and EJG Morgan scored 69 of the first 10 overs without any loss. RV Gomez took 2 important top order wickets in 11th over of JH Kallis and G Gambhir to pull back Kolkata Knight Riders. MK Tiwary soon followed the pavilion when he was out to R Vinay Kumar for 1. EJG Morgan and YK Pathan then scored some nice shots and took Kolkata Knight Riders back on track. After EJG Morgan and YK Pathan where out of consecutive balls Kolkata Knight Riders lost their way and the indeed the match. Kolkata Knight Riders scored 139 for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 17 runs. For Kolkata Knight Riders EJG Morgan scored 66 and JH Kallis scored 45, for Kochi Tuskers Kerala R Vinay Kumar and RV Gomez took 2 wickets each.

Man of the Match is BJ Hodge for his 35* and last over surge to B Lee for 22 runs.

Hi and Welcome to the Match No 44 of the IPL 2011 season between Pune Warriors and Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians are the leaders of IPL 2011 till date and looking good to make the playoffs, on other hand Pune warriors had a disastrous debut to the IPL 2011 season. Can Pune warriors made amends and play like warriors and down the Mumbai Indians lets see....

Pune Warriors won the toss and elected to bowl first. For Mumbai Indians AC Blizzard and SR Tendulkar opened the batting, for Pune warriors AC Thomas opened the bowling. Mumbai Indians lost AC Blizzard early in the innings for 6. SR Tendulkar and AT Rayudu again threatened to take the match away but Yuvraj Singh's double stike pegged back Mumbai Indians. R Sharma's double stike even more deterioted the Mumbai Indians innings. Late Stikes from TL Suman and KA Pollard brought back Mumbai Indians on track. Mumbai Indians finished with a healthy 160 for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. For Mumbai Indians TL Suman scored 36 and KA Pollard scored 28, for Pune warriors JE Taylor, Yuvraj Singh, R sharma took 2 wickets each.

In reply Pune warriors opened the batting with JD Ryder and MK Pandey, for Mumbai Indians Harbhajan Singh opened the bowling. Pune warriors lost JD Ryder of the very first ball to Harbhajan Singh. GC Smith too had a painful stay for his 6 and was eventually out of MM Patel. AA Jhunjhunwala came ahead of Yuvraj Singh and instead of helping pune warriors he created more trouble by wasting balls and getting out to KA Pollard. Yuvraj Singh came out in a pressure situation and with MK Pandey scored some glorious shots but eventually fell under pressure for 20 to a SL Malings bouncer. RV Uthappa and MK Pandey then threatened to take the match away with awesome hitting. Pune warriors hope vanished when MK Pandey was out to SL Malinga and Pune warriors eventually scored 139 for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Pune warriors lost with 21 runs. For Pune warriors MK Pandey scored 59 and RV Uthappa scored 34*, for Mumbai Indians again SL Malinga took 3 wickets.

Hi and welcome to the Match No 43 of the IPL 2011 season between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan Royals are on a high and giving stiff competition for the top spot for Mumbai Indians and Chennai super kings have made a quick turn around from bottom of the points table to top four. Lets see who gets the momentum ahead by winning this crucial match.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bat first. For Rajasthan Royals SR Watson and R Dravid opened the batting, for Chennai Super Kings JA Morkel opened the bowling. SR Watson and R Dravid gave Rajasthan Royals a fantastic start when they were 86 for no loss of the first 10 overs. Thing changes fast as Rajasthan Royals lost the way and kept loosing wickets. It all started with a brilliant return catch by SB Jakati to get rid of SR Watson. R Dravid held his wicket at other end for a while but he coudnt bloster the total and was out to S Randiv. LRPL Taylor played few shots for his 20 before getting out to JA Morkel. Inspite of the fantastic start Rajasthan Royals managed 147 for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. For Rajasthan Royals R Dravid scored 66 and SR Watson scored 32, for Chennai Super Kings SB Jakati and JA Morkel took 2 wickets a piece.

In reply Chennai Super kings opened the batting with MEK Hussey and M Vijay, for Rajasthan Royals ND Doshi opened the bowling. Chennai Super Kings lost M Vinay in the second over when he was caught leg before by J Botha for 5 and scored at 8 of 2 overs. MEK Hussey and SK Raina then attacked the Rajasthan Royals bowlers and where near to vitory. SK Raina in anticipation of finishing the match with a boundary was out to SK Trivedi. MEK Hussey completed the finishing formalities and chennai where home with 8 wickets and 8 balls to spare. For Chennai Super Kings MEK Hussey scored 79* and SK Raina scored 61, for Rajasthan Royals J Botha and SK Trivedi took a wicket a piece.

Kolkata Knight Riders are looking dangerous under G Gambhirs captaincy and are looking to top the table by defeating Deccan Chargers today and on other side Deccan Chargers are looking rather ordinary and their chances of making it to the top four looks bleak. lets see if Deccan Chargers can stop the winning streak of Kolkata Knight Riders.

Deccan Chargers won the toss and selected to bowl first. For Kolkata Knight Riders EJG Morgan and JH Kallis opened the batting, for Deccan Chargers DT Christian opened the bowling. Kolkata Knight Riders started well and scored 30 of the first 5 overs without any loss. DT Christian bowled EJG Morgan in the 6 over to peg back Kolkata Knight Riders. Kolkata Knight Riders captain G Gambhir with JH Kallis started scoring quickly and paved way for a big score. They both added 43 in over 5 overs when JH Kallis and G Gambhir both fell in quick succession. Then entered YK Pathan and MK Tiwary, both played some big shots and not only took Kolkata Knight Riders out of trouble but also helped them scored a big total. Kolkata Knight riders scored 169 for the loss of 4 wickets in their 20 overs. In reply Deccan Chargers opened with S Sohal and S Dhawan, for Kolkata knight riders B Lee opened the bowling. Deccan Chargers had a good start when S Sohal was playing some good shots and in no time Deccan chargers reached 40 of the first 5 overs without any loss. Introduction of Iqbal abdullah in the 6 over caused a mini collapse for deccan chargers. Iqbal abdullah had S Sohal and KC Sangakkara in space of 3 balls. Kolkata Knights rider bowlers kept the pressure on the deccan chargers batsmen. Deccan Chargers lost wickets at regular intervals inspite of a 56 runs partnership between DB Ravi Teja and S Dhawan Deccan Chargers coudnt pull it off and where 20 runs short at the end. Deccan chargers finished with 149 for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. DA Warner and V Sehwag had a good start initially, but once V Sehwag was out to new comer P Parameswaran Delhi Daredevils where in dire straits. Delhi Daredevils kept loosing wicketsand where 97 for the loss of 4 top order wickets in nearly 15 overs. Y Venugopal Rao and TR Birt then played cameos to get Delhi Daredevils some respectability to their total. Delhi Daredevils scored 140 for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. In reply Kochi Tuskers Kerala opened the batting with M Klinger and BB McCullum, IK Pathan opened the bowling for Delhi Daredevils. BB McCullum gave a blazing start to Kochi Tuskers Kerala and rained fours and sixes. In first 5 overs Kochi Tuskers Kerala scored 61 for no loss. After BB McCullum was out Kochi Tuskers Kerala had a mini slump where they lost 3 quick wickets. PA Patel and BJ Hodge then completed a comprehensive victory with 7 wickets in hand and 5 overs to spare. Rajasthan Royals kept loosing wickets at regular intervals. Yuvraj Singh too coudnt score much. Pune warriors scored just 143 for the loss of 7 wickets in their stipulated 20 overs. For Pune warriors RV Uthappa scored 35 and MK Pandey scored 30, for Rajasthan Royals SK Trivedi took 2 wickets.

In reply Rajasthan royals opened the batting with SR Watson and R Dravid, for Pune warriors M kartik opened the bowling. Rajasthan Royals had a bad start when they lost there 3 top order wickets in first 10 overs with just 59 on the board. For Pune warriors R Sharma took 2 of those wickets with tight bowling. AL Menaria and LRPL Taylor then counter attacked the pune warriors bowlers and scored 33 of just 4 overs. Once AL Menaria was out to R sharma, giving him his 3rd wicket. After AL Menaria was out LRPL Taylor took it on and completed a convincinly win for Rajasthan Royals with 6 wickets and 3 balls to spare. For Rajasthan Royals LRPL Taylor scored 47* and AL Menaria scored 29, for Pune warriors R Sharma took 3 wickets.

Kolkata Knight Riders are riding high after their win against Delhi Daredevils and on other side Kings XI Punjab lost to the same Delhi Daredevils in a high scoring match. Kolkata Knight riders won the toss and slected to bowl first. For Kings XI Punjab AC Gilchrist and PC Valthaty opened the batting, for Kolkatta Knight Riders B Lee opened the bowling. Kings XI Punjab lost pinch hitters PC Valthaty and SE Marsh early. AC Gilchrist and KD Karthik decreased the pace to repair the innings. Once AC Gilchrist was bowled by Iqbal Abdullah Kings XI Punjab coudnt handle the spin and managed to score just 119 for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. For Kings XI Punjab KD Karthik scored 42 and AC Gilchrist scored 26, for kolkata Knight Riders Iqbal Abdullah took 2 wickets.

In reply Kolkatt Knight Riders opened the batting with JH Kallis and EJG Morgan, Kings XI Punjab opened the bowling with P Kumar. Kolkata Knight Riders lost JH Kallis early for 1, but EJG Morgan enjoyed his opening stinct with some glorious shots but he too was out for 28 when the score was 35 in 4.2 overs. G Gambhir and K Tiwary played some glorious shorts and rotated strike and made sure they didnt lost any more wickets and took Kolkata knight riders home with nearly 3 overs to spare.
