For Kings XI Punjab AC Gilchrist and SE Marsh opened the batting and Pune Warriors who are making their debut opened the bowling with AC Thomas and SB Wagh. Kings XI Punjab had a horror start and in no time AC thomas and SB Wagh where all over them in no time. Within four over Kings XI Punjab scored 9 runs for the loss of 4 top order wickets. With the exception of R McLaren, Kings XI Punjab coudnt come out of the disastrous start and scored just 112 for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. For Kings XI punjab R McLaren scored 51*, for Pune Warriors SB Wagh took 3 and AC Thomas took 2 wickets respectively.
