Cricket: "IPL 2011 Match No 16: Pune Warriors v Delhi Daredevils"

Hi and Welcome to the Match No 16 of the IPL 2011 season between Pune Warriors and Delhi Daredevils. Pune warriors who are debuting in IPL 2011 season are doing good with two impressive wins and on other side inspite big names in Delhi Daredevils chart they are struggling to win against other teams. Lets see if Delhi Daredevils can stop the winning steak of Pune warriors.

Delhi Daredevils won the toss and selected to bowl first. For Pune warriors JD Ryder and GC Smith opened the batting, for Delhi Daredevils Y Venugopal Rao opened the bowling. Pune warriors had a reasonably good start until GC Smith was out. M Manhas too went quickly after scoring 20 runs. JD Ryder on other hand took it on him and hit 5 glorious sixes and took Pune warriors to nearly 100 of the first 10 overs. Once he was out for 60 to S Nadeem, Yuvraj Singh took it on from where JD Ryder left it. Inspite of not much support from other end Yuvraj Singh kept on scoring runs and took Pune warriors to a fanstastic score of 187 for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. For Pune warriors Yuvraj singh scored 66* and JD Ryder scored 60, for Delhi Daredevils AB Dinda and S Nadeem took 2 wickets a piece.

In Reply Delhi Daredevils opened the batting with DA Warner and V Sehwag, for Pune warriors AC Thomas opened the bowling. Delhi Daredevils had a superb start when both DA Warner and V Sehwag blasted the pune warriors bowlers to all parts of the ground. Delhi where 75 for no loss in the first 7 overs. Once DA Warner and V Sehwag where out in quick succession Delhi Daredevils lost the momentum and started loosing wickets. Yuvraj singh was the main destroyer in the middle of the innings. Y Venugopal Rao and AJ Finch played some blinders in the end and took the match from the clutches of Pune warriors. Yuvraj Singh struck twice and took out the wickets of both Y Venugopal Rao and AJ Finch. JR Hopes coolly finished things off with two big hits and took Delhi Daredevils home with 3 wickets in hand. For Delhi Daredevils DA Warner scored 46 and V Sehwag scored 37, for Pune warriors Yuvraj Singh took 4 wickets.

Man of the Match is Yuvraj Singh for his allround performance of 66* runs and 4/29 bowling.

Cricket: "IPL 2011 Match No 5: Pune Warriors v Kings XI Punjab"

Hi and welcome to the Match No 5 of the IPL 2011 season between Pune Warriors and Kings XI Punjab. Kings XI Punjab after a bad season last year are looking good with a complete make over and on the other hand Pune Warriors are making their Debut in IPL. Lets see how they handle their first match in IPL 2011 season.

Kings XI Punjab won the toss and elected to bat first. For Kings XI Punjab AC Gilchrist and SE Marsh opened the batting and Pune Warriors who are making their debut opened the bowling with AC Thomas and SB Wagh. Kings XI Punjab had a horror start and in no time AC thomas and SB Wagh where all over them in no time. Within four over Kings XI Punjab scored 9 runs for the loss of 4 top order wickets. With the exception of R McLaren, Kings XI Punjab coudnt come out of the disastrous start and scored just 112 for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. For Kings XI punjab R McLaren scored 51*, for Pune Warriors SB Wagh took 3 and AC Thomas took 2 wickets respectively.

In reply Pune warriors lost GC Smith of the very first ball. Then JD Ryder and M Manhas played cautiously and made a move on. Pune warriors had a little trouble when both JD Ryder and M Manhas where out within 4 balls to AM Nayar and R McLaren respectively. RV Uthappa and Yuvraj Singh made sure that there are no more troubles and took Pune warriors home with 7 wickets and nearly 7 overs to spare. It was a incredible debut win for Pune warriors in IPL. For Pune warriors M Manhas scored 35 and JD Ryder scored 31, for Kings XI Punjab Praveen Kumar, AM Nayar and R McLaren took a wicket a piece.


Man of the Match was give to SB Wagh for his 3 wickets.
