In reply Delhi Daredevils opened the batting with AJ Finch and V Sehwag, for Hyderabad Deccan Chargers DW Steyn opened the bowling. Delhi Daredevils lost AJ Finch in the very first over to DW Steyn. I Sharma quickly removed NV Ojha and Y Venugopal Rao to give the edge to Hyderabad Deccan Chargers. V Sehwag had other plans, after initial overs from DW Steyn and I Sharma, I Malhotra came to bowl.
