Cricket: "IPL 2011 Match No 24: Kolkata Knight Riders v Royal Challengers Bangalore"
Welcome to Match No 24 of 2011 IPL between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal challengers Bangalore. Kolkata knight riders are on a high after their back to back wins and other side Royal chanllengers Bangalore are a little down with the recent losses. Royal challengers bangalore won the toss and Daniel Vettori, Royal challengers bangalore captain elected to field first. Haddin and Kallis gave a good start to kolkatta knight riders scoring 10 an over. Once Haddin was out caught at point Gambhir, captain of Kolkatta Knight Riders came in to the middle and didnt let the momentum down. He and Kallis play really well to get to Kolkatta Knight riders score past 100. Once Gambhir and Kallis were gone, Yousuf pathan stepped up and for the first time in 2011 ipl showed his much anticipated hitting with three fours and three sixes. With that late blitz Kolkatta Knight Riders scored a decent yet defendable score of 171. For Kolkatta Knight riders Kallis (40), Gambhir(48), yousuf(46) where the contributers, where as for Royal Challengers Bangalore S Aravind took two wickets.
Dilshan and Chris Gayle opened the batting for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Right from the word go Chris Gayle blasted the Kolkatta Knight Riders bowling. Dilshan too joined the party later on but was overshadowed by the giant's giant innings. Royal challengers banglaore had their first and last success when Dilshan was out bowled to Balaji for 38. Kohli came after the fall of dilshan and Gayle completed his century of 55 balls and showed all the IPL franchises lesson for ignoring him during the auction. Hi and Welcome to the Match No 14 of the IPL season 2011 between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Chennai Super Kings had good begining to this IPL and they are the defending champions and on other side Royal challengers Bangalore havent had any impact and they getting worse with each game. lets see if they can make their role reversal or will it be the same.
Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat first. For Chennai Super Kings MEK Hussey and M Vijay opened the batting, for Royal challengers Bangalore Zaheer Khan opened the bowling. Chennai Super Kings had a great start when they where 50 without any loss in 6 overs. Royal challengers Bangalore lost M Vijay and SK Raina played some great shots and had palyed a cameo with 29 runs. MS Dhoni too played few shots in his innings of 22 runs. MEK Hussey played brilliantly and carried his bat thru and made sure chennai scored a defendable total of 183 runs with a loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. for Chennai super kings MEK Hussey scored 83* and M Vijay scored 31, for Royal challengers Bangalore JJ van der Wath and R Ninan took two wickets each.
In reply royal challengers bangalore opened the batting with MA Agarwal and TM Dilshan, Chennai Super kings opened the bowling with JA Morkel. Royal challengers Bangalore lost two quick wickets with just 17 on the board. V Kohli and AB de Villiers tried to repair the damage and in the process of scoring quickly V kohli was out to SB Jakati. There on Royal Challengers Bangalore kept loosing wickets at regular intervals and scored just 162 for the loss of 7 wickets in their permitted 20 overs. For Royal challengers Bangalore AB de Villiers scored 65 and V Kohli 35, for Chennai Super kings JA Morkel and S Randiv took two wickets each.

Hyderabad Deccan Chargers are yet to gel with the new players and Royal Challengers Bangalore working hard to maintain their winning streak. Lets see who will make a move with the momentum.
Royal challengers Bangalore won the toss and opted to bowl first. For Deccan Chargers S Sohal and S Dhawan opened the batting, for Royal Challengers Bangalore Zaheer Khan opened the bowling. Zaheer Khan gave a good start to Royal challengers Bangalore when he got rid of S Dhawan for 11 with just 20 on the board. KC Sangakkara and S Sohal then build Deccan charger score. S Sohal and KC Sangakkara made crucial 30's and after both of them were back to the pavilion B chipli and JP Duminy made sure that the momentum is not lost and scored runs at will. B Chpli impressed one and all with his 61. Deccan Chargers made a impressive 175 for 5 of their 20 overs. For deccan chargers B Chipli scored 61* and S Sohal 38, for Royal challengers Bangalore Zaheer Khan took 3 wickets.
In reply royal challengers opened the batting with MA Agarwal and TM Dilshan, for Deccan Chargers DW Steyn opened the bowling. DW Steyn and I Sharma both bowled beautifully and gave Deccan Chargers the start which they were looking for with three wickets and just 27 on the board in 5 overs. Royal challengers bangalore kept loosing wickets at regular intervals. V Kohli who was retained by Royal challengers bangalore never gave up and scored runs at one end inspite of the wickets falling at another end. CA Pujara gave a little support and raised hopes of a come back but re-introduction of Steyn cleared the hope and Deccan chargers where home with 33 runs. For royal Challengers Bangalore V Kohli scored 71 and CA Pujara scored 25, for Deccan Chargers DW Steyn and MS Gony took three wickets each.

After DJ Jacobs exit AT Rayudu joined Sachin Tendulkar and made sure there were no more hiccups and took Mumbai Indians home with 9 wickets 9 balls to spare. AT Rayudu and Sachin Tendulkar both scored 50's. For Mumbai Indians AT Rayudu scored 63* and Sachin Tendulkar scored 55*, for Royal Challengers Bangalore DP Nannes took a wicket.

Hyderabad Deccan Chargers Winning steak came to an end when they lost to Delhi Dare Devils by 6 wickets. Dilshan was the wrecket in chief for Delhi who took them home with a thrilling finish. Deccan Chargers are to be blamed for themselves for their poor effor in the fielding and loose balling.
Delhi Dare Devils won the toss and elected to field first. Delhi had a terrific start when Nannes forced Gilchrist to edge a swinging delivery and was caught behind by Karthik in the very first over. Soon Gibbs followed him again giving Nannes his second wicket. Hyderabad kept loosing wickets at regular wickets and with the exception of Smith who scored 48 of 28 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes none of them were able to score a decent score. Tight bowling from Delhi was another reason for the failure of Hyderabd bastmen. Hyderabd managed to score 148 for 9 of their 20 overs.
Delhi started their chase with a bang. Sehwag and Gambhir where going after the Hyderabad bowling and scored 30 of the first 3 overs. In the fourth over RP singh took the wicket of Sehwag and the Match turned around and Delhi lost de Villiers and Gambhir in quick succession. Match was in Hyderabad favour and then the most depended batsmen for delhi Dilshan had other plans and he with Karthik had a counter attack on Hyderabad. They were indeed successful in scoring runs and they scored 79 of jsut 10 overs and made it easy for Delhi. Once Karthik was out for Ojha Dilshan made sure that Delhi were home with no more casualities and 8 balls to spare. Dilshan scored 52 of 46 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes and Karthik scored 41 of 30 with 3 fours and 1 six. For Hyderabad Shoaib was the successful bowler with 2 for 20 of his 4 overs.
Man of the Match was awarded to DP Nannes for his excellent spell of 16 for 2 of four overs.

Match No 14: Royal Challengers Bangalore v Delhi Daredevils
Delhi Dare Devils had won 3 matches on trot when they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore with 6 wickets at St George's Park, Port Elizabeth. It was really disappointing for the Bangalore with good high class players.
Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to bat first. They lost kallis of the first ball when Nannes yorked him. Uthappa followed him soon when he was out in the very next over off Nehra. Then Taylor and Captain Pietersen played brilliantly and took the score to 72 in 9 overs without further loss. But 3 balls later Pieterson, when he looked settled tried to charge vettori and was cleaned up. There on Taylor, Kohli and Boucher gave ample support and Royal Challengers Bangalore scored a reasonable 149 for 7 of their alloted 20 overs. For Delhi Nehra was the stike bowler with 2 wickets against his name.
Delhi started their chase quiet disastrously when they lost Sehwag for 7 and score reading 11 for 1 in 1.4 overs. Then came the super cool Dilshan. He along with Gambhir tried to consolidated sehwag wicket with a cautious plan. Gambhir was out in 6th over for a slow paced 16 with one four. Then with the help of De Villiers, Dilshan moved the score. But two qucik wickets of DeVilliers and Karthik gave the advantage again to Bangalore. Dilshan and Manhas had other plans and blasted the Banglaore Bowlers to all parts of the park and chased down the target in 19.2 overs. Dilshan was unconquered with 67 of 47 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes and Manhas undefeated on 23 of 13 balls with 3 fours. For Bangalore stike bowler was Pankaj Singh with 2 wickets against his name.
Man of the Match was awarded to TM Dilshan for his match winning knock of 67 from 47 balls.
