Cricket: "IPL 2011 Match No 19: Delhi Daredevils v Deccan Chargers"
Hi and Welcome to the Match No 19 of the IPL 2011 season between Delhi Daredevils and Hyderabad Deccan Chargers. Delhi Daredevils are looking ordinary this IPL 2011 season and on other hand Hyderabad Deccan Chargers are coming along good in patches. Lets see who gets the upper hand in todays encounter.
Hyderabad Deccan Chargers won the toss and choosed to bat first. For Deccan Chargers S Sohal and S Dhawan opened the batting, for Delhi Daredevils AB Dinda opened the bowling. Hyderabad Deccan Chargers lost S Dhawan early for 8. KC Sangakkara and S Sohal then batted brilliantly and took the score beyond 100 in 12 overs. After KC Sangakkara was out S Sohal continued his strokes. CL White too played a cameo with 31* at the end. With S Sohal's big hitting Deccan chargers managed to score 168 for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. For Hyderabad Deccan Chargers S Sohal scored 62 and KC Sangakkara scored 49, for Delhi Daredevils AB Dinda, IK Pathan, JR Hopes and S Nadeem took a wicket each.
In reply Delhi Daredevils opened the batting with DA Warner and V Sehwag, for Deccan Chargers DW Steyn opened the bowling. Delhi Daredevils lost V Sehwag early and soon lost 2 more wickets. DA Warner held his wicket at one end and also held the hopes of a successful chase. Y Venugopal gave support to DA Warner and their partnership was threatening to take the game away from Hyderabad Deccan Chargers. Y Venugopal Rao and DA Warner fell at quick succession and a late surge from Y Nagar coudnt save Delhi Daredevils from defeat. Delhi Daredevils managed to score 152 for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. For Delhi Daredevils DA Warner scored 51 and Y Nagar scored 23, for Hyderabad Deccan Chargers DT Christian and Harmeet Singh took 2 wickets each.
Man of the Match is S Sohal for his 62 runs.
Score: 20 overs Deccan Chargers 168 for 4 (S Sohal 62, KC Sangakkara 49, S Nadeem 1/24) beat Delhi Daredevils (DA Warner 51, Y Nagar 23, Harmeet Singh 2/27, DT Christian 2/38) by 16 runs.
