Cricket: "IPL 2011 Match No 21: Mumbai Indians v Pune Warriors"

Hi and Welcome to the 21st Match of IPL 2011 Season between Mumbai Indians and Pune warriors. Mumbai Indians have dominated the IPL 2011 so far and Pune warriors are looking good with couple of wins under their belt. Lets see how can new franchise Pune warriors can compete with Mumbai Indians.

Pune Warriors won the toss and choosed to bat first. Mumbai Indians bowler AN Ahmed struck twice in 4th over to give a fantastic start to Mumbai Indians. Pune Warriors coudnt come out of the early loss and sccumbed to pressure and kept loosing wickets. Uthappa played a lone hand for Pune Warriors where as others struggled to score. Pune warriors scored a below par 118 and where allout within 18 overs. For Pune warriors Uthappa scored a fluent 45 and for Mumbai Indians Munaf Patel took 3 and Mortaza, Malinga and Ahmed took 2 each.

In reply Mumbai Indians lost Franklin early. Tendulkar and Rayudu played sensible cricket and rotated the strike at will and moved towards the target. Once Tendulkar and Rayudu where gone, Pune Warriors applied pressure from both ends and dried the runs out. Rohit Sharma and A Symmonds played with cool mind and rotated strikes with ones and two. Match went till last ball and one was required of last ball. Rohit sharma blasted it into the stands to fetch the victory. Mumbai should have won long back but some nervous moments got it to the last ball of the match. For Mumbai Indians Rayudu made 37 and Tendulkar 35 and for Pune warriors thomas, waugh and sharma took a wicket a piece. Mumbai won rather unconvincingly with 7 wickets.


Man of the Match was Munaf Patel for his excellent spell of 3 for 8

Cricket: "IPL 2011 Match No 4: Delhi Daredevils v Mumbai Indians"

Hello and welcome to the 4th Match of IPL 2011 Season between Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians. First match for the giants of IPL in terms of players popularity. It is expected to be an excited game. Let see how the teams battled it out.

Delhi Daredevils won the toss and opted to bat first. DA Warner and Virender Sehwag opened the batting for Delhi Daredevils, to every ones surprise Sachin tendulkar opened the bowling for Mumbai Indians with Harbhajan Singh. Delhi Daredevils lost their first wicket in second over when DA Warner was yorked by Malinga. Delhi Daredevils within no time lost 3 quick wickets and were looking to loose more wickets when NV Ojha and Y Venugopal Rao played cautiously to add another 42 runs to the total. Once NV Ojha was Out to AG Mortaza Delhi Daredevils kept loosing wickets and in no time they were allout for 95 in less than 18 overs. For Delhi Dare Devils NV Ojha scored 29 and Y Venugopal rao scored 26, for Mumbai Indians Malinga took 5 wickets and Harbhajan took 2 wickets respectively.

In reply Mumbai Indians opened with DJ Jacobs and Sachin Tendulkar. Mumbai Indians lost DJ Jacobs in the very second over when M Morkel bowled DJ Jacobs for 1. Sachin Tendulkar and AT Rayudu added another 30 runs in 5 overs to Mumbai Indians total, when AT Rayudu was runout by an outstanding work from Van der Merwe. Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma made sure that there are no more casualities and took Mumbai indians home with more than 3 overs to spare. For Mumbai Indians Tendulkar scored 46* and Rohit Sharma scored 27*, for Delhi Daredevils M Morkel took the only wicket.
